Anatomía de un cuento: El Padre de Fernández Flórez

چکیده

En este artículo, después de presentar una sinopsis del argumento y discutir algunas críticas sobre el escritor, comentamos los puntos destacados de su estilo idiosincrático desplegado en el relato. Analizamos así mismo cómo Fernández Flórez traza el pasaje del protagonista, el padre,  del ambiente turbio que le envuelve, hacia la verdad. La simple historia de un oficinista que intenta descubrir las razones de la enfermedad de su hija para salvarla se convierte en un buceo en el mundo interior del padre que procura abrirse paso de entre un enjambre de suposiciones. El colapso de comunicación entre don Pedro y su hija aísla totalmente al protagonista de tal manera que éste último se desliza en un mundo ilusorio que él se crea con una misión auto-impuesta que a su vez, provoca el suspense de cómo se cumplirá finalmente. Estudiamos las estrategias que emplea el autor para delinear la topografía mental del protagonista y lograr una estructura textual cohesiva con un desarrollo narrativo que hace al relato plausible, manteniendo la atención del lector hasta el final.

In this article, after presenting a synopsis of the plot and discussing some criticisms about the writer, we comment on the highlights of his idiosyncratic style displayed in the story. We also analyze how Fernández Flórez traces the passage of the protagonist, his father, from the murky environment that surrounds him, towards the truth. The simple story of an office worker who tries to discover the reasons for her daughter's illness in order to save her becomes a dive into the inner world of the father who tries to break through a swarm of assumptions. The collapse of communication between Don Pedro and his daughter totally isolates the protagonist in such a way that the latter slips into an illusory world that he creates with a self-imposed mission that, in turn, provokes the suspense of how it will be accomplished. Finally. We study the strategies used by the author to delineate the protagonist's mental topography and achieve a cohesive textual structure with a narrative development that makes the story plausible, keeping the reader's attention until the end.
